Fed of not finding a cheap vinyl wrapper, here goes:
Should look awesome when done
Looks scary all that though
Tbh the thought was more scary then actually doing it, just takes ages to mask up properly...
Have done several coats already as you can leave 15mins between coats.
Cross with myself though as on the drivers blade I had a bit of a run as did the first coat too thick, tried to sort it and it looks a bit of a mess now in one spot. Had to be the ****** drivers side that I see most...
Will have to see what it comes out like
Also couldn't pop the hood for the grill as if masked the doors shut, doh...
Will see how it goes, still on the same £10 can I did my front splitter on, so will see how it turns out.
Should've got a clear gloss for afterwards...
Whoop whoop, love it
Think I'll try the window frames and diffuser at some stage
That looks spot on mate
I'm quite chuffed
Not the best finish but saved me some serious notes
Gr8 job razza.
Looks really good @razza1 Great job!
Looks the t*ts, love it.
Wing mirrors, yay or nay?
Oh bullocks, there goes more time (although I do kind of agree)
Wing mirrors, for me, not on at S/RS - but each to their own!
You don't really notice the aluminium covers much though with the silver...,
Yes, that's true, hadn't thought of that.
nice job !
thats the way to go save plenty £ and looks just as good
i'm not sure about the mirrors still in 2 minds if mine are staying or going
I'm well chuffed to have got the side blades, grill surround, front splitter and fog grills and surrounds from one can
well you've forced my hand in operation black out, satin black and primer ordered, chrome roof bars and window trim going this week !
if weather holds out this is scotland :-0
the more i look at it i think the black mirrors might go well with your silver !?
I keep having those same thoughts lol
Nice work man looks great!!
Looking good I have done black trim on my silver car. Still cannot decide on the wing mirror's. Let us know if you do paint them.
Wondering whether to wrap them as don't want to damage the silver ones really..
When you painted your trim, how did you do it and mask it up, as thinking you'd need the doors open...?
Just tried to get the covers off and gave up as felt like something was going to break, removed the mirror, undid the screws but it wouldn't budge, had that horrible feeling it was going to snap off, plastic ****....
Would have to remove them as they fold and otherwise you'd see the bit covered up when folded
Operation Part two:
I did not do the door frame, for the wing mirror's I was going to buy new casing spray this black and fit. But not convinced it will look OK so not bought the cases
Here we go:
Not the best pics as its gone all grey out there, so will try to do more when lighter.
Think the silver bar looks good so will probably keep it silver, thoughts?
Top job razza, yes I like the silver bar against the black, especially when it matches your car colour.
That's what is was thinking, it matches the car nicely and brings out a bit of detail that might be lost if all black.
Must say I'm a dab hand at masking tape now lol
Yeh, the black gives the silver bar that definitive touch.
You better watch you don't get a heap of requests to mask up others cars, you'll be starting a business next, lol.
Looking good !
I'd say keep the chrome bar if your keeping the mirrors helps tie it all in
Just taken these off, did you spray the whole unit as it is?
If I remember correctly, the black piece does come off but it's quite sensitive, I'd mask off the black section and just paint the silver part, if you don't like it you can always give it a coat of paint at a later date.
more masking. It looks like it's stuck on tbh so won't remove
Ok...health warning people...this can be addictive....
Crappy pics, not as gloss as I'd like, so may have to put laquer on it at some stage
Now makes more of a black interior since I have the carbon trims
Looks the part razza, but agree it could do with some clear laquer.
Your a whiz with a spray can, oh and the masking tape.
Beats the hell out of paying someone loads to do it, and quite satisfying.
Just need to find a railway track now and perfect my spray can skills more lol...
Been busy again @razza1 I see
S4 looking great my friend
