Reminds me of the old days with my RS2-engined B2 Coupe quattro.

All the time I owned it, I never gave away spec or power output, so she remained very competitive. Without a power figure, the competition don't know what figure they need to attain, or exceed.

Standard..

..but he know's his way around an engine bay and last time we spoke it was running slightly more boost than standard!!

He's got a major weight advantage as it's only made from paper and as big as a shoe.

I remember those cars fondly.

A good friend of mine is really into them - we had many friendly drags dow the pod, though he never managed to beat me - my car had a lot of power, though was 4 wheel drive, and considerably heavier.

With any luck the Italian build quality will shine through and something will fall off ha!

LTBHP says it weighs 1307kg, with an 03 plate FWD A4 1.8T weighing 1375kg (i'd imagine B5 is more like 1250-1300 as the B5 A4 1.8T quattro only weighs 1380kgs)

He has 220hp stock but without changing the stock blower i cant see him getting much over 280hp, so it will be pretty close to a tuned A4 imo, although it might need a big turbo car or a tuned S4 to actually beat him.

Well that said I'm going for 220 - 230 HP (with remap) so I'm going to give it a go but with a 6.3 sec 0 - 60 time I think I might be pushing my luck.

I would've thought the Coupe would be much lighter.. shows what I know!

Yeah I feel for you mate.. can't believe what happened to your motor must be a one in a million chance.

Well hopefully you have some good fortune and you can make it to this event.. A good few months yet.

If we can agree on a date and get enough people to make a commitment then I think we'd be best to make a group booking and get our own designated area?

I think camping is an option but obviously the weather will play a big part.
