Hey guys,

Just a quick question really, and not really to do with fitting coilovers, however...

When looking at how I would go about fitting coilovers (dont a fair few sets of suspension on various cars and the A3 looks easier than some others) I couldn't see how to access the top of the front struts. I tried removing the scuttle panel when I fitted my sub, but got around that by gently prising it up out of the way.. but how does it actually come out? Pretty stuffed for fitting new suspension without getting that out of the way i feel.

Any help most appreciated!

Thanks :)

It is a bit niggly but just pull slowly but firmly at the edges. They are only pressed in and not clipped so dont be in total fear about snapping a clip!

However, it is possible to get in under the scuttle without having to take the wiper arms off and the panel. I managed it in my A3 and S3 when changing the suspension using small tools. Handy enough but you might get a few red marks on your wrists lol

Ah excellant thanks dude !

I took the wiper arms off to put the sub in but was worried about breaking something so just wedged it up while running the cable, probably easier to take it off to do the coils though?

Thanks again mate :)

Ah thanks mate. I'm slightly confused, which ones would I need to buy as there are so many different ones but they all seem to be the same?

(hope the links work as they are after clicking through some options etc..)

Which bit would I measure to know the strut diameter and stuff like that? Ahh! lol
