Coding High Beam Assist

Hi abmat
I honestly believe that is not correct, Volta's IT ( manufacturer of Obdeleven ) and Volkswagen AG have come to an agreement with the security access of SFD. So everything is above board in using Obdeleven to unlock SFD. When using Obdeleven to unlock SFD, once you have unlocked it you have 90 minutes before it locks, you can if you wish unlock for another 90 minutes and so on. Once you have unlocked SFD you can if you so wished use VCDS within that time limit to do any coding. Obviously if you damaged your car in doing any coding this would be at the owners risk as with any alterations that have been done. The only way Audi could query this if it effected the warranty and then they would have to prove that what you have changed has effected the warranty. The car no longer belongs to Audi once you have bought your car and that means you can basically do anything you want within reason, for example you could replace your wheels with aftermarket wheels, Audi are certainly not going to remove them because they are not what was originally on before leaving their factory. The only way they might remove any coding is if you sold your car back to Audi but even then I'm not sure they would.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. If you have unlocked something that requires a license, wasn’t on the original specification and is not registered at HQ they will remove it.

Hi abmat
It is registered at HQ as when you register Obdeleven you have to put your personal details and your VIN into Obdeleven which is part of the terms of the licence agreement with Audi.
