Evening chaps,

Over the weekend I completed a retrofit of facelift rear lights into my 2016 PFL rs3. The setup was rather easy, especially when using the adapter modules. Really happy now the rear looks fresher.

However, I’m wondering if there are any coders in the Southampton or surrounding area that could now enable the rear lights to stay on as DRL as with the new FL cars.

I know it’s not essential, but I prefer the look.

Regards

Check out the vcds map. Link in my signature

Did you get this sorted yet?

I can enable rear DRL for your FL lights, did exactly this for my PFL car for both the standard, then FL lights when fitted.

Steve.

Hi there,

As of yet not sorted. I’ve resorted to switching the light selector to sidelights just so I can have the rears on in daylight. Ha

Annoyingly, the sidelights setting dims the front leds lol.

I don’t possess vcds.

Based in Southampton

Regards

Had it done on mine, local Audi-VW specialist did it when in for a service. Not close to you, sorry.

whole bunch of coding done this afternoon for Ashley, good to meet you buddy and see your RS3 - enjoy :)

Many thanks Steve, excellent work

Now having heard the new fl from the outside, I can confirm the sound hasnt been lost. Different to the pfl (deeper perhaps) but no less visceral. Great stuff.

This is one single adaptation channel in your BCM (Unit 09).
It's called

ENG141647-ENG116593-Außenlicht_Front-Tagfahrlicht-Dauerfahrlicht aktiviert zusaetzlich Standlicht

Set this to active.
