Clutch

Well I have had the 8V 2.0 tdi 150bhp for just under a year, bought with 75K miles on the clock, its a 14 plate.

Last week the clutch went at 100K miles, changed on Monday. (clutch kit & dual mass etc)
Cost just over £1000 including fitting!

I traded in my 2010 plate 8P 2.0 tdi 170bhp for this 8V.
The 8P had 280K miles on the clock, never missed a beat and still on original clutch!!
Still going strong.

So not impressed so far with the 8V over the 8P.

John.

100k is good going with a clutch to be honest that’s like 1p per mile worth of wear.
The previous owner that did 75k could have been an aggressive driver and wore it out before you got it. Dmf and clutches isn’t Audi’s strong point, I know some that got 20k and needed dmf and clutch.

For me, the 8P is miles better than the 8V having owned 3 8Ps and now one 8V.
What I also liked about the 8Ps, had a bit of style.

Slipping at 23700 on my S3, so no worries with your clutch at 100k

My 8P had 280K miles on it when I sold it, still had original clutch!!
Plus, I dont drive my diesel, the way I would an S3 lol.
