Clutch Question

Evening chaps,

It’s been a while. My TQS is still ticking along nicely but the time has come to replace the clutch and possibly the DMF.

I’ve been quoted £570 for a LUK 3 piece clutch kit and DMF - parts only. Add in labour and it’s going to cost me £800+ .

Two part question;

1. Can anyone recommend a decent clutch kit and DMF that’s cheaper?

2. What’s peeps views on converting to SMF?

I have a 1.8 TQS.

Valeo or LUK or Sachs kits are the go too clutches. Just try find who can supply the kit you need cheapest if on a budget.

The route i went was 1Z flywheel and had the flywheel redrilled to take an S2 3B 240mm clutch or the VW LT van 240mm plate and S4 240mm friction disc.

I have the ECS RA4 kit on my DTM and the gearbox chatters far worse than what my TQS did.
