Clutch pedal switch

Hi everyone I could do with some advice please on replacing the clutch pedal switch.
Do you have to configure the white tabs before fitting it?

Oh this doing my head in. The rev increase when changing gear and the holding revs crap needs fixing.
Please anyone help with some thoughts.

I cant remember when i did mine mate I vaguely remember having to check the push pin went in and back out all the way, oh! Just had a brain wave when you twist it in place make sure it clicks twice I'm sure it clicks when you first twist it into place then you twist it again and that should sort it...not much help but i know your frustration i had the same thing.

Did mine in seconds - new switch from ebay (about a tenner) and videos from this guy helps no end!
