Clutch pedal half way down!

Hi all I have a 2008 Audi A3 2.0 Tdi, the actual clutch pedal has all of a sudden drop to half way down when changing gear, anyone had this problem before or an idea what it might be?

Does it get stuck then you can lift it back up with your hand? Sounds like the slave cylinder might be on its way out, happened on my s3
