Clutch pedal doesn’t feel right

Evening my partner has a 2011 a4 2.0 tdi teknik the clutch and flywheel we’re changed 2 years ago at just over 100000 cars since done 135000 it was always a little juddery taking off on first but now I’ve noticed the pedal to me doesn’t feel right when you press it down the pedal moves about a half inch freely before you fell the clutch if you see what I mean would be grateful for any advice

I think there all the same buddy mines been like that for 15k miles not the judder but peddle lift
