Hi all, i'm intrested in any information of the average clutch life in miles on the s3 . mY car has done 104 k happily but i'm starting to wonder at what point the clutch is likely to let me down ?

Also any idea what the replacement cost is from a main stealer ?

I have seen clutchs go past 150k on motorway driven S3's and seen them being replaced at 60k by people who dont look after them.

My clutch was still fine at 90k but the slave cylinder went pop which meant new clutch etc (didn't need it but while its all apart it makes sense go get it done)

My original clutch was still on the engine when that went bang at 63,000 miles, made sense to replace it when it was in bits.

Car has now done 124,000 miles and the clutch is fine (no slipping etc), however the dual mass flywheel is **** so I'm likely going to change the clutch and flywheel in the next few weeks.

So in short I'm no help at all, but if they don't last 60,000 miles I'd be worried!

125K on original clutch - remapped for 40K (I seem to have posted this recently :))

Mine lasted 110k miles until I got the car remapped and then it started slipping alomst straight away. It got progressively worse over the space of a month until I had to get it replaced.
