Good morning all,

So as per the title I am having clunking issues at low speeds as in something feels loose. Now I know the B8 S4s have transmission issues and I have addressed that but it feels like something cant handle the torque the transmission is outputting. I checked underneath and I have play in my prop shaft and all drive shafts. I also need to replace my front lower rear control arms. My question in all of this is, should there be any play in the prop or driveshafts? Would this cause the clunking at all?

Thanks in advance

My A4 clunks but at very low speed and it has been confirmed as the pads moving back and forth by the Audi specialist I use.

Oh really, I will have to look at the pads. It feels like it is coming from the front right. I dont think it's the cv joints because i dont get any vibration and it happens when i go in a straight line or turning corners.

Just to clear this one up and to help with anyone that has the same issues. Check the rear diff fluid, mine for some reason only had half a liter in there when they take 1 liter. No more clunks!!
