Climate control replace or restore?

My climate control module buttons are worn and ugly so to buy a clean replacement im looking at £60+

has anyone consider or used the below?

I checked my unit and it does look ok apart from the lower + & - buttons..
There is a kit for just those - only a few quid - i think will be worth a shot considering its going in my ****e box not a concours..?
