"Cleaning" tyres?

Hi guys,

Got my RV019s back from the refinisher on Friday and they've marked the tyres with an off-white crayon to denote which tyre came off which rim. Anyone know what I can use to get rid of this before applying tyre dressing? Thinking alcohol gel or meths?

Good scrub with a stiff bristle brush and APC not do the trick?

Haven't tried yet, I've got Citrus Pre-Wash - reckon that might do the trick?
