Cleaning the engine and bay....

Hi, what's the best way to clean the engine and bay? Can I use a pressure washer or does it have to be a steam cleaner? It's really dusty and dirty under the bonnet and I am wanting to smarten the car up.

I would use steam, and rinse off with low pressure.

Did you end up buying that B6 Convertible? Or you went for another one?

We have always found that a degreaser spray and a microfibre cloth works wonders. Make the plastics gleam with a finish spray afterwards.

Ok, thanks for the tips.
I ended up buying the blue one in the pic. The Silver one off the auction site was lovely, but milk for coolant made me walk away.

The blue one has 9K more miles on but drives lovely.

Will get the bay all cleaned up. I have plenty of degreaser and a week off coming up soon.
