No problems here with the alcantara on my PFL. Done about 15K miles now.
I don't touch it much whilst driving really, being at 6 and 12 o'clock but I have been known to fondle it from time to time just for the thrill.

Question about the FL wheel - I have noticed on the right hand side of my wheel next to the buttons that the alcantara isn’t even. It feels like there is either too much or not enough glue under it. I can feel the indentations. It is totally even on the other side.
Has anyone else had this? Is this a warranty fixable thing?
Obviously not an issue right now but it may come lose in the future or damaged due to this problem and then Audi would not fix it as they would say it was down to me. Clearly the only solution is a new wheel... (I wonder if they would let me keep the old one as its pretty cool!).

Get any seat covering, or indeed any steering wheel door cards etc warranty claims in asap
It can be tricky after (I think) 6 months / 6000 miles, not 100% on the timings but you know what I mean

Mine is going flat like you said, doesn’t look dirty or anything just doesn’t feel as plush and I notice it every time I get inI would love to be able to keep it plush, but my concern with attacking it with a brush on a weekly basis would be that it would tear it up.
I can see me getting a retrim once a year, haha.
My car has done 5500 kms, got it in August,
Just today I used a soft dry foam sponge pad and gently wiped it in multiple directions, it lifted all the fibres nicely and is as new again...

£50k+ on a sporty car to then drive it conservatively?!
Driving 12k miles per year at 30mpg vs 25mpg will save about £30 per month... a pittance compared to monthly payments and/or depreciation.
Put your foot down and enjoy a great car that you've presumably worked hard to get!

Can only talk about previous wheels , current ones only done 2k , but a gentle agitation with a softish suede brush did the trick , loosened up the fibres . Clearly never going to look like new but looks attended to if nothing else. Tend not to have much contact with the knob so I will leave that to others who do .
