Im considering getting one of these to speed up claying. Checking back on the forum the last posts about these were a little while ago so checking if anyone on here uses them or has used them an can comment on their effectiveness. .. or otherwise

Not used the cloths but can recommend the G3 clay mitt.

With a mitt, saves slipping, dropping the cloth etc..Better control.

Mitt is definitely a way to go.

I dropped my clay so many times and had to change it over. Bar that was enough for longer, was used in half of the time.

Got 5 clay bars at wicked price some time ago and cutting small part of it every time.

Another thing to consider would be, to keep the clay cloth or mitt clean.
I use the clay piece only once, on both sides.
That way you’ll reduce all contamination picked up from paint to be dragged on it again, when claying next time.
You normally would remould it and keep it damp but what about cloth and mitt?

Try to take a piece of clay slightly bigger next time and mould something like a botch in the middle of flat part so it fits between your fingers. That should provide better control.

I tried claying in slo-mo and failed anyway.

Thanks for the suggestion of the G3 mitt. Have you experienced any issues with using it. Some Internet reviews suggests it can cause marring

Never had an issue however I always start by doing the windscreen first as I find it grabs a bit at first and I always use plenty of shampoo in the bucket so there’s plenty of lube.

After seeing videos on YouTube about clay cloth I thought I'll give it ago.

What a load of *****!!! Barely took any contamination off and I lubed up the panel like Jenna Jameson on a porn shoot but still managed to mark it. I'll be sticking with clay [IMG]

Ive got a clay mitt but find that it catches much more and needs much more lubricant than clay itself. I’ll stick to the Bilt Hamber stuff that only needs water as a lubricant. Used it for years and always had great results.

Thanks for everyone's input. Given several negative reviews I think I'll stick to my Bilt Hamber clay and just spend a bit longer
