Chorus cassette head unit

Hi my car is a 1999 1.8T it still has the chorus cassette head unit. Would any chorus cd head unit fit ?
Can anyone advise the best add on to the original hu, I know connects 2 do a box that provides Bluetooth streaming and phone, is there better ?
