Found out my kick down switch was in the off position.

Not sure why but turned it back on it and BOOM kickdown, also no more fuel.

It appears the D2 facelift lads had their kick down switches turned off as well going by this post on the A8 Forum.
Facelift Kickdown doesn't work - A8 Parts Forum

Why would someone turn this off?

Car may have been owned by a nice old gentleman wanting to cruise back and forward to the golf club. Not drive like the boy racer you are :whistle2: :racer: :eyebrows:

My guess someone wanted it switched off, would be surprised if it was some that need to be done on a PDI.

Going by the A8 Forum link installation of these switches causes them to be in the off position and you have to turn them to on when installed.

It also seems rather common on the D2 and a few more of the D3s reporting the same thing.
