Not sure what the point of Android Auto is, the Audi MMI does it all anyway and is much better integrated.
I installed it briefly to see what it was about and then deleted it.

Which MMI cables did you get mate? Did you need to ask they for them or did they ask you in advance etc?

From my dealer:
"You will indeed receive a lightning adapter / usb adapter with the vehicle, dependent on which phone you are using. This is included with the vehicle."
