Charging the Audi

Is it ok to connect a battery charger to the battery with negative and positive leads still attached?
I have heard that the negative lead only should be disconnected?

Removing any one of the leads will do.

Mine was dead from lack of use and I just disconnected both and charged it like any normal battery I did mine on the car for a few hours yesterday, apart from resetting the date and time, just disconnect it or remove and charge it

I only disconnected the negative lead for an overnight charge. In the morning I had reset the date and time and key fob but the stereo presets and settings remained!
