Changed over to APR

    Been a while since I last posted. Car has been running great but wanted more out of it. Contemplated stage 2 on my previous tune but wasn't convinced on the gains for the cost. Long story short I switched to APR and couldn't be happier. The torque is massive, way more than the last tune. (Not to knock the other one but it's night and day different) Same dyno same day measured over 600ftlbs and 40whp more. I have just gone stage 2 and will be having it dynod again. Regardless of the dyno the car feels way stronger now. I just measured a ridiculous 0-60 time twice in a row. Need to get that draggy GPS timer now to verify it. Boost is now almost 3psi higher over the previous tune and running faultlessly. Probably have a year left before I trade it so I'm going to enjoy it whilst it's here.

    How’s the gearbox holding out? I would of thought the torque would eat the s-tronic and spit out bits

    Been tuned since 2 months old and no issue. Stage 3 are pushing out well more than this and holding up just fine.

    Is it a different s-tronic box to the chocolate one in the B8 RS4?

    Think it's uprated. Not sure though. I've never had an issue and its been well used. I'm hoping to see around 630-650ftlbs on stage 2. 104 ron makes around 700 I believe.

    So whats the BHP now? Did you get the TCU tune as well? I am planning on going to MRC to get mine done, I get it in a week or so and need to get a 1000 miles on it but not planning on waiting before tuning it :)

    I will know hopefully this week. On a low reading maha it read 390whp 500tq on my revo tune. And 430whp and 600ftlbs with APR. It had read 420whp and 507ftlbs on revos dyno I believe. So the delta was around 40whp gains. Now I'm stage 2 it should be more.

    Richy Martin before he ditched APR. I go to Revolution in Newcastle for all APR stuff. Great place. Are you in Newcastle? If you're looking to tune your car I'd highly recommend APR the service and support has been much better and the car is way stronger.

    Custom 3" downpipes and 200 cel gesi cats. Wow the sound is mega. I wish I'd done this much sooner. Additional torque is great but the sound!!! In dynamic it's a bit daft. The pops and crackles are crazy, but good.
    You really notice the reduction in turbo lag too. Anyone with an S6/7 do it.[​IMG][​IMG]

    Yet to Dyno but should be similar to Craig's MRC stage 2. Made 800nm stage 1 so I reckon 830-840nm maybe more?

    God damn this thing pulls. I'm.actually driving slower because I don't have to rev it's balls off to make a decent sound. It is getting a lot more attention from racers though which is a little boring having Passat's wanting a go. I'm a little scared to try launch control. The torque is nuts, feels much stronger than stage 1.
