Change the navigation input method?

When inputting nav destinations when the car is moving the keyboard dissapears and you have to 'write' each character one at a time on the screen. It's a pain, would be much quicker for my passenger to be able to use the keyboard. (let's not even start trying to suggest using the voice control - I've better things to do with my life than waste it repeating myself over and over again trying to talk to a car that can't properly understand me!)

Any way around this?

Would having the video in motion thing applied fix this?

I do have vcds if anything can be done with it....

Ah, sorry then refer to your manual as you have a different version to mine...

I've read the manual from cover to cover.

There is of course no mention of the 'video in motion' hack as one would expect.
Hence my questioning to find out if application of said hack will make any difference....
