Change in Tax?

Hi All,

Recently ordered a Facelift S3 and was promised a March Delivery... However i don't think this is going to happen as I've not even got a build week and Audi Customer Service don't know when it will be started!!

What exactly are the changes of the new Tax rule and what will be the cost i occur if i take delivery after March?

Depends on the list price of the car. Is it over £40,000 (including options)?

Register it after April and year 2 onwards will be less road tax, think it's £140 rather than the current £185...I had my renewal through yesterday today insurance renewal and the big service due next month

Talking of the service, 3 different quotes for the year 2 oil and inspection service:

Cheshire Oaks Audi: £365
Crewe Audi: £401.19
Liverpool Audi: £439.80, then added air con service is due as well after 2 years @ £59.98

After the first year, all rates drop to a standard £140. If your list price of the car is over £40,000 though there will be a further £310 supplement for the next 5 years, making it £450 total. So for example if my order doesn't get registered before April 1st my taxes will be £500, £450, £450, £450, £450, £450, £140, £140 etc

If it happens to get registered earlier, ignore this nonsense

The saloon is smash bang on the threshold with 151g/km which is a little annoying! 1 gram less and it would have been the lower bracket!
