My 23 RS3 which I bought off the lot has the carbon ceramic option. They squeak quite a bit. There’s no real rhyme or reason. It comes and goes as it please. But pulling up to my kids school in a kyalami green rs3 with squeaky brakes isnt exactly subtle. I’ve read this is an expected thing with ceramics but would like to know if it’s normal and if anything can be done about it. Not the end of the world but annoying.

O/T but the ccb's on my M3 make noises when cold. Nothing like the POS regular brakes on my old RS3 and RS4 though

Normal. Let the kids walk to and from school then they will get some excersise, and you don't have to embarass yourself .

The only noise I used to get was occasionally when I was reversing, but even that has stopped now, no noise from mine at all.

Got the reversing noise until about 1500 miles, I have now done just under 6000, but they have never made a noise going forwards
Since I don’t know what that is, probably not. First car with ceramic brakes so I didn’t know it was a thing.

I had numerous sets of replacements brake discs under warranty on my 8v RS3 for squealing & warping … but the 8Y brakes were silent and not a peep from them - they weren’t the carbon ceramics though.

Ahaha touching wood! I went hard on them from the get go cause I was following a RS7 one day with Ceramics and it sounded dreadful, didn't want the same with my RS3.
