Help Please Central locking issue

Hi guys,

This isn’t for my car by for my Dads.

He has a 2008 A4 and his central locking has developed an issue.

When he locks the car, all the doors lock. When he unlocks the car, all the doors unlock and open apart from the drivers door.

So the door works once it’s opened from the inside. Then if it stays unlocked the door opens as much as you want to open it. But once locked, it won’t open again.

He has noticed the LED stays on constantly, but I can’t find what this means.

Any ideas anyone?

Hi, have a similar problem going on with my 2009 Audi A4, it’s an issue with the actual door lock actuator situated in the door. Can be fiddly to repair yourself (requires to remove entire door panel) but is possible.

Wow brilliant. Thank you for that.

I’ve done a bit of searching myself but I didn’t see that video at all. Must of seen 100’s of others but that one is perfect.

A weekend job now then..
