Hi, I have a 2014 A4 with a concert and Carplay/AA installed.
When I press the talk button on the steering wheel, I get both Siri and the Audi voice command listening at the same time.
If I use the left scroll on the steering wheel to navigate the carplay, it changes my DIS from whatever I put it on (speed, mpg etc) back to the aux screen (external aux is blah blah)
And finally, is there any way to enable carplay without having to hold the media button? While it's only one button, I do like as close to OEM feel as possible.
So my question is this, I'll never use the Audi system again, and when I did use it, I never used the left scroll or the talk button. I cannot remember how I installed this but I would imagine the carplay is basically the middle man between the wheel and the radio? If so, can I just cut the wires to stop the radio registering any activity on the steering wheel? If that makes sense.
I don't know how else to put it. I've been trying to find a diagram but to no avail. Thanks.
