I’m debating trying to install a cheap tablet somewhere on the console or dash to run CarPlay off of in my A1 2017, anyone tried something similar or have an idea for a good place to position it?

Hi, curious, why did You choose to look for ways to mount tablet for Apple Carplay, instead of getting a retrofit, which uses Your factory MMI screen and looks a lot cleaner?

Hi sibmet, I’d looked into the MMI boxes but I’m not a fan of inputting everything via voice command or the scroll wheel, I’d much rather use a touchscreen and didn’t fancy shelling out for a screen replacement on the factory one
