It should do I'm sure mines are always lit. My headlights are switched to auto if that makes any difference.
It might be because your drl are on as well.It should do I'm sure mines are always lit. My headlights are switched to auto if that makes any difference.
It would work if you enable sidelights or fog lights as a drlDon't have auto headlights on mine
Definitely have it enabled but dials only come on with sidelights or headlights

Late to the party but glad I came!
Was intrigued by this, being a tight **** that likes to mess around I purchased the flee bay blue dingle dangle dongle, and down loaded the app and guess what?
Yep, the dongle was bobbins for carista.
Worked with torque!
A tad miffed I emailed carista, and within half an hour had a reply, really just confirming my thinking that the dongle was pony!
Any who, cracking customer service I thought, and really inspired me with confidence, I went the whole hog and purchased the genuine real deal dongle from Amazon for about £32, as it stated guaranteed to work...
I ain't got the time or patience for this dongle roulette mullarky lol.
Sooo,
It came today, worked straight away and am very happy indeed.
I activated alarm blip, cornering fogs, oil temp/lap timer, brake light and hazard flash on emergency stop and deactivated seat belt chime and done a scan! (all clear btw) and reassuring.
Now lives in my arm rest and not sure when I will use it again to be honest.
I asked to sign up for beta testing but they are full of participants and don't need no more.
I would like to activate the hidden green menu and tinker with the air con etc that you guys have mentioned but can't find that anywhere
Anyway just my 2p worth, and a definite welcome addition.
If sitting on the fence, just go for it, cheaper and safer than vcds, OK simpler but effective non the less!
The one I linked to when I started this thread works for me. Best thing I have used it for is in replacing rear brake pads. Having the ability to put electronic brake into service mode saved me a packet in garage fees! Glad I started this post!
Have it on beta version.I never did find that option, apparently they are beta testing this for the future.
I wonder how you had it ages ago?
I believe this is normal, and i have had it on other cars too. I think it happens as the car cycles through each of the modules. You normally hear some interference/low tone from the speakers too at one point.
There is no Hidden Menu toggle, I'm not sure why it's not showing on the app![]()
I had this come up once before, can be a random thing and not to worry about I believe. Didn't give me any issues and hasn't come back since....I did a scan yesterday. It came up with the following?
CAN network gateway:
02256 - Quiescent current
03041 - Energy Management Active
00384 - Optical Databus
Infotainment system:
02067 - Optical Databus Unauthorized Awakening Request
Some googling hasn't revealed anything helpful. Anyone got a clue?
Thanks, Razza.I had this come up once before, can be a random thing and not to worry about I believe. Didn't give me any issues and hasn't come back since....
Any luck?![]()
VCDS only.Anyone ebabled ADS using any version of Carista? Or is this a VCDS only job?
It means that you'll need to reset the mmi after enabling it. You do it by pressing three buttons simultaneously. Unfortunately don't remember which one.Just had a play and got needle sweet, chirp on lock and cornering fog lights. I want to enable the hidden menu but in brackets next to it says "required reset". Wasn't sure what that meant so I left it alone. Anyone tried it?
You'll need to press and hold the SETUP, NAVIGATION WHEEL & the TOP RIGHT OF THE NAVIGATION WHEEL buttons for a few seconds.Just had a play and got needle sweet, chirp on lock and cornering fog lights. No, this is a reboot, not a reset, all settings will remain. Its also required when changing some settings within the Service menu (green).Awesome thanks guys. Will resetting it do anything to the settings? I assume it will forget all the radio stations etc?
Also...I found a good thread a while ago about the hidden menu and how to change things but I cant find it now. Anyone here remember it?
