I've got some Audi spark plugs (VAG), there are laser-platinum (as says on the box),
part no: 101 000 063 AA

When I put these on, under breaking, when I put the clutch down, the car then stalls. I've put the old Bosch ones back in, and it is fine, now I am happy to go out and buy the Bosch ones again, but wondered if anyone had any idea what would cause this.
I drive a 97 R reg, 1.8T avant.

thanks

I would go out and buy some standard NGK BKR6E's, and gap them to 0.028" (they might come like that out the box) and fit those.

Platinum and iridium plugs are a lot of nonsense, they aren't as good for the engine as normal copper plugs and the manufacturers only use them because they last a lot longer.

You might get away with regapping the platinums to 0.028", perhaps they arent properly gapped from new.
