Hi,

I have recently brought a 2010 Audi A6 Le Mans 170 diesel 2.0 tdi. Since having its cam belt replaced, the car feels a bit heavy (the engine sounds loud) I have also had it serviced using audi/vw apprived oil and all filters. This was the big service. I have been advised to have a vcd done.

I don't know what this is? Will it help.

Also, all this has been done in the last 4 weeks, and the oil low sign has come up. Your views and advice will be greatly appreciated .

is the timing correct on the engine?

correct 5w30 which meets 507 oil used?

I don't know, it was replaced by a reputable mechanic but he is not a audi specialist

The car was serviced by a mechanic who used to work for a audi/vw garage. He said that he had replaced the oil with a oil used by audi/vw manufacturers. The name of the oil is out of my head atm.

You could use the Vcds map to see if there is a member close by you willing to autoscan your car just to see if there is any faults relating to your problem .
Vcds is a diagnostic cable used to read your car modules to tell if there is faults within your car

Hi guys, I got to the bottom of the problem, my car was sounding a bit heavy because the fans were continuously on because the pressure sensor was gone. Only when I took the car for air conditioning the guy at the garage realised the problem. Sorted out this issue though.
