Facelift car cleaning day- S3 Panther Black

Picked this up 3 weeks ago, although I managed to wash it twice in-between frost and rain.. today was the first decent day with a bit of sun.


absolutely love this colour. never seen it in the flesh prior to buying and the previous s3 I viewed was brilliant black which I also liked.

I forgot how much black cars command washing time! I don't recall washing my ibis white half as much and that was always clean!

My favourite Audi black paint is Panther Brown lol,most settle for Mythos or even worse Audi's flat black paint which is the most difficult black paint to maintain as it's a flat paint lovely car you have there

Lovely car

I had a Panther Black S3 and in the sun it's fantastic but like you say does require a lot of attention and washing

I just picked up my panther black s3 5 door last week, but doesn't look as shiny as yours! nice job.

thank you. I have the good old fashioned Autogylm collection. pressure washer is somewhere in the shed :-/ so back to basics. hose pip with spray gun. two buckets and autoglym shampoo finished with AG polish. I did use poorboys on its previous wash.. however with the bad weather I didn't last 3 days! I do have nattys paste but yet to use.

Nice job natalie1817, really like the red calipers. I use Pete's 53 Black Pearl Wax during the better weather, comes up really nice.

AG Ultra Deep Shine? That stuff worked really well on my A3: the flakes really 'pop'.
