Hi all,

Does anyone know if electric folding mirrors can be retrofitted? A car I am looking at has all the spec I need bar the folding mirrors.

Thanks as always

Yes. Parts alone are around £400 I think

Yes you can. Costs more to do afterwards than it would have as an optional extra. Someone has done either on here or elsewhere. You will also need recoding of VCDS to make them work.

Tbh why do loads want folding mirrors? I never fold mine way I see it is it rather someone caught a mirror than caught the wing?

Hazzydays do it for a grand! http://hazzydayz.com/genuine-audi-auto-folding-mirrors-602-p.asp I think the reason it costs so much more afterwards is the factory fit is essentially an upgrade from one type of mirror that you're already paying for to another, whereas an after fit, you're buying new parts outright without being able to trade in your old parts. You might be able to flog them on though I suppose.

Personally I'm keen to get adaptive cruise retrofitted, but I don't imagine that will be cheap

HazzyDayz did mine and an excellent job they did too. I've used HazzyDayz twice and on both occasions the job was perfect; a 100% recommendation from me...
