Can you enable/disable oil temperature in the DIS on 8P A3

I have an 06 A3 3dr and in the DIS check menu it doesn't list oil temp, our other A3 sport back does have it

can this be enabled on the 3dr with VCDS?

You need to activate the Comfort menu:

Select module [09 - Cent. Elect.]
Select [Coding - 07]
Select [Long Coding Helper]
Scroll down until [Byte 23] is displayed
Enable [Bit 1]
Select [Do It!]

Thanks for the reply, I went into this and byte 23 was blank, there werent any tick options. I tried adding bit 1 just using binary but it said i didnt make a change to the code, I also tried adding the binary bit then copying the new long code, this gave an error message and wouldnt save the new code.

I have also noticed i dont get the digital speed readout screen either?

I think it depends on the revision of the instrument cluster.

I was actually beginning to think that might be the case, my brothers 54 plate has even less DIS options than mine.

Can the controller for it be upgraded or is it new clocks job?
