Can you buy a laptop to pc cable?

I'm looking to transfer a load of data from my laptop to my desk pc is there a usb cable you can buy?

or a cross-over Cat5 ethernet cable

crossover cable is the cheapest, just run the network setup wizard on both machines and you can access info on either machine, piece of cake

Or you can also do it wirelessly if you wish but its a pain in the *** to get them to recognise each other then its an even bigger pain when you realise the sllllooowwwww transfer rate

If you have a MP3 player, see if that works, I use my iPod when needed for that!
