I can enable it with obdeleven but doesnt load i guess it is about the license plus i have charge only port in armrest i thought about changin it with a data enabled version this is the par number i found 8V0035708 but i wonder if it is gonna work because i dont want to change usb port for nothing do you know where can i resource one for cheap? If you have Audi Smartphone interface available as an icon on the menu then yes.
You need a specialist to perform the activation. Coding tools like OBD11 and VCDS etc cannot do this.I can enable it with obdeleven but doesnt load i guess it is about the license plus i have charge only port in armrest i thought about changin it with a data enabled version this is the par number i found 8V0035708 but i wonder if it is gonna work because i dont want to change usb port for nothing do you know where can i resource one for cheap?
edit: 81A035736 appearently this one is correct one as you stated in my other thread
Yeah i know i will take it to a specialist for this but i will change the usb beforehand therefore i need to know that a specialist can enable carplay without chaning the mib unitYou need a specialist to perform the activation. Coding tools like OBD11 and VCDS etc cannot do this.
Were we not having this conversation before, and you sent me your VIN to check if ASI was possible?Yeah i know i will take it to a specialist for this but i will change the usb beforehand therefore i need to know that a specialist can enable carplay without chaning the mib unit
I dont remember so basically when i get a specialist to apply carplay license to my mib2 std unit and change charge only usb port to a data compatible one i should be able to use apple carplay right? Were we not having this conversation before, and you sent me your VIN to check if ASI was possible?
If i go with activation first route how do i know that it has been enabled?Just checked and you did send me your vin. As previously mentioned, Audi smartphone interface is not showing as valid for your vehicle. This could be because:
1) your VIN range has not been deemed compatible
2) you don’t have the correct MMI system and or supporting parts
you have an MIB2 standard with single sd card slot. An official activation might work but would be a gamble. In the VW world some of these units can be activated unofficially. Never done one of these Audi units myself.
If you are wanting to take the gamble then I would try to activate first so that you don’t waste money on USB ports and cables.
When you select ASI on the menu it will ask you to connect a device and not to contact the dealership. Your specialist should also confirm the activation. If i go with activation first route how do i know that it has been enabled?
okay thanks a lotWhen you select ASI on the menu it will ask you to connect a device and not to contact the dealership. Your specialist should also confirm the activation.
