Cambelt Change

I am due a cambelt change on my 1.9tdi.

Any idea how much a cambelt kit costs from audi (or any other supplier you can recommend)?

Is there anything else i should change at the same time as the cambelt?

You need to get the water pump done too.

From the top of my head -

Cam belt kit £88.00
Water Pump £29.87
You will need new coolant too G12 I think £5.99

I had mine done last week, Audi were quoting £490.00 so I got it done at an independant by me for £330.00 which I didn't think was too bad.

You may need new tensioners too.

Don't worry mate i didn't, was looking at buying one today, it was due a service and cam belt change so thought id find out how much it woul set me back. Didn't buy it in the end.

Is that the going price, 700 quid for a cam belt for a 3.0 v6 quattro sport from Audi? How much would you expect to pay from non franchise garage??

It might be worth trying other Audi dealers in your area.
I know Staffords Audi Franchise dealer is offering a cambelt including tensioner on the V6 for £395 +vat

They are advertising it on ebay.

Well ive just bought the kit from Preston Audi (near where i work), and the cambelt, tensioners etc and the waterpump came to £187 i think. The waterpump has a surcharge on it of £40, but once you return the old waterpump in the box for the new one, you get your £40 back.

My dads mate does them locally, he said if i get the kit from audi (as above), he'll do it and charge about £150 for the labour, and include 1 years warranty.
