16396/P0012/000018 - Bank 1: Camshaft A (Intake): Advance Setpoint not Reached

This code is relate to the cam chain tensioner (VVT in your case) ans is typically a sign that its failing

16727/P0343/000835 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40): Signal too High

Not seen this one before but its plausible that its the cam position sensor... rare for them to fault tbh but doesn't mean they don't

My engine code is ayp as well
Vvt they costly to fix ?

If its APY then its won't be VVT... so in your favour this will be cheaper... my mistake I was under the impression yours was a later S3

However... as it is a non VVT I suspect that the 16396 code is symptomatic of the 16727 code... I would suggest that its worth changing the cam position sensor for a known working one (borrowed or bought)... can't vouch for the pattern items but they 'should' work ok...

If the 16727 code goes but the 16396 one comes back then the cam chain tensioner could be on its way out... these are just over £100 from GSF
