Hi recently my car has been making a loud clicking noise under acceleration since I did a 30 min track day at silverstone now seems down on power so I scanned it and got the code 17746 camshaft position sensor g40 open or short to plus. Ticks over fine when I googled it a lot of the results were saying I the cam could have jumped a tooth? If so what do I need to do new timing belt or have it adjusted? Also will it do any more damage if I still drive it. Also I have just checked the cam belt briefly and does not seem lose as if a tensioner has gone or anything
