Cam Follower Problems

Does anyone know if there's a particular issue w/ the cam folower on TFSI engines? a mate's just been asking me about it, i can find virtually nothing on this site except a mention that there seemed to be a bad issue back on pre 2008 engines, and similar on google. just curious, as he's saying it's not a serviceable part, so has anyone had this changed/done it themselves or whatever?

It was a problem on certain B7 2.0t mainly 2004-2006 mainly. Easy check and fix for a garage or good diy'er.
Seems to be sorted after that and no problems on B8s .
Check out B7 forum or google b7 2.0t cam follower there are hundreds of different forum posts.
