cam chain tensioner

Ive heard that a good engine flush and a oil and filter change (even though its recently been done approx 6k ago) could get rid of the dreaded cam chain tensioner rattle?

Sadly it's usually the pad that breaks, or the hydraulics just fail all together and even tho it is possible the oil change will stop it getting worse i doubt it will stop it

On mine its only on cold start and it sounds a little bit like the starter motor running on a bit...

i had the oil sludge problem, at the time they reconditioned my engine, they put a new cam chain tensioner in for the same price so i got a good deal... but still cost loads to rebuild lol!

I think it was only the tensioners, they replaced some other bits as well. But most of the cost was the labour to take the engine out,,, and put it back!
