whats the best paint for callipers guys?

Best to give them a coat of etch primer too?

Want to do it without taking them off really.

Black.

Always have used smooth hammerite

There was a recent thread about this, just use the search engine.

Good old smooth hammerite, no need to primer or anything, just clean up caliper and then paint them, if needing the paint a little thinner then wee spot of white spirit and mix it.

Another supporter of smooth Hammerite (callipers and hubs) - used it for years and much recommended on BMW forums. It is sufficiently heat resistant not to cause any problems - the calliper is insulated by the brake pad and if it got that hot the rubber seal and dust cover would melt.

Another vote on Hammerite.. Been doing calipers with it for many many years and never had an issue :)

Halford £8.99 if you don't want to wait.
The 250ml should do all 4.
B&Q sell it at £9.26

Screwfix also sell it but possibly not red just need to check, and is cheaper.

Cool thanks mate

Japlac Enamel served me well on my Black S3,
Did them once, never touched them again, had that car 10 years from new.
