I have the ara blue FL S3 with the V spoke wheels currently with black calipers. Was thinking of getting them painted possibly red or even yellow. What are all your thoughts on it? Couldn't justify £325 from audi to pay the amount for a coat of red paint

probably wouldnt do them myself, been quoted £90 for the set including the S covers. so not too bad, think in the summer with yellow calipers and a nice detail. it'd look beautiful

Done the wifes TT callipers red.
Trolley jack, axles stands, newspaper, masking tape, de-greasing spray and of course the heat resistant calliper paint.......... Bob's yer uncle.
S3 ones are trickier depending on how you tackle the "S3" plate in the centre.

I'm still tempted to paint mine, not sure I want to go with red. Maybe blue...

You need something to stand out depending on your wheel colour , mine are yellow due to black Dtm's alloys.
P.S if anyone wants a honeycombed grille pm

I used these guys to do mine: https://www.bcs-automotive.co.uk

Personally I would go with a contrasting colour, rather than a body colour. If you can get a colour matched caliper paint maybe, otherwise two different shades of blue would trigger my OCD lol

I'm tempted to agree with @jassyo06 There's a fine line between enhancing the look of the calipers / car and chaving up your car real nice.

Don't get me started on mudflaps !!

local garage based in wolverhampton. following him on instagram - "Alloy Vera"
work looks top notch, just need to know what paint he uses, trying to find a nice shade of bright yellow and will look to do them in roughly a months time.

It's a A3/S3 and not some exotic sports car where the boundaries can be extended to way out colours on brake calipers Nowt wrong with good old Red paint

lol I'd be happy with Blue I think, still fairly subtle. The R32 had blue calipers and looked alright.

Yellow isn't for me personally unless the S3 had some big old calipers like the A45.
