Caliper Painting - Colloidal Black

Just thought I'd share this one.

My Q5 calipers have been looking a bit worse for wear and I'd been thinking about painting them. My previous experience of caliper paint has been disappointing as it never seems to look standard and always makes a ridiculous mess.

So, I remembered stuff called colloidal black which my old man uses on his wood burning stove. Water based, lovely consistency and bakes on at high temperature.... Here's the result.

At only about £8 for a bottle (easily enough to do all the calipers at least twice), I'm really pleased!

Mind you I am retired so I have loads of free time................
