Has anyone used brake caliper covers before?

Not sure if they look cheap and tacky or not.
Was thinking it could be an easy quicker solution rather than painting them.

I definitely never used them and have seen them on a BMW at work that looked tacky because the actual calliper poked out from behind it so you could see it was fake. I’d personally just take the time to paint yours rather than stick some plastic on top.

Just paint them black with Hammerite Smooth.

I've read before that the plastic stick on ones increase the temperature of your brakes so not a good idea.
There are also aluminium ones but they dont have the proper caliper shape. Apparently they even lower the temperature. But they don't look like proper calipers.

Mine came from the factory with black calipers, managed to source a set of genuine plates (needed minor modding) and got the caliper painted. Don't fancy the plastic covers TBH.
