cabriolet window regulator

My O/S (driver side regulator broke on my cab ,
I got i fixed from local audi specialist cost £235 (genuine audi part)
Am currious how easy it would have been to do myself?
Any one done it??

bout 2hr 30min it took me first time iv done it

Hi any chance you gave a pic of regulator as when I search online I see different variations and I don't know which one to go for.. Would be much appreciated as prices are ridiculous if going for the audi part.. Thanks

I have replaced these on golfs, passat and my B6, top tip and I cannot stress this enough, buy original part, the cheap copies fail far to quickly and it's not a job you want to keep having to do. I learnt this a long time ago.
