C8 S7 Exhaust Tip Removal - NEED SOME HELP!

Hi everyone,

Apologies if this was already posted somewhere else. But I've been searching high and low in this forum (and others) for tips on how to remove the chrome tips on a C8 S7 (2020) because I'm going to have them powder coated. Has anyone ever removed C8 exhaust tips? If so, how did you remove them without damaging the clips in the back? I've seen some suggestions of light taps with a hammer - but I think they were for older models.

PS - loving the fact that the S7/RS7 have REAL exhaust tips!

Yeah...that's rough. To this day, I have no idea why they insist on fake tips! Literally EVERY car enthusiast I know hates them!
