I'm glad I tried the s4 4.2 v8
Something I've always wanted and a cabriolet to top it off

What a car it is for the money, nothing comes close.

Just wasn't a keeper for me as wanted to concentrate on the main family car and wasn't being used much

I'll be lurking but for now bye bye s4

New owner got a bargain I think
£6.6k
69k on the clock
Fuchs titan ester oil
New rear discs and pads
Paintwork was silky smooth from clay bar, machine polish and wax

Very, very strong money ! Well, good it went in the end...

I don't think its strong money

Find another or look at the average of s4 cabriolet tiptronic with sub 70k miles

Mostly traders holding on to these waiting for a buyer at £8k plus!

Still rather more than WBAC were saying. But yep, always frustrating when your idea of value isnt matched by that of the person buying.

Looks a really straight and well cared for car, I wouldn't have said that was strong money, compared to what is being asked by the trade for a similar mileage car.

I'd say it was about spot on, but it's still one hell of a lot of car for that money, but aren't they all (S4's).

£8k minus 20% VAT = £6,000

And a dealer would give some form of warranty and guarantee, and I'd certainly be expecting it to have had a full service. The dealers profit would have to be a mimimum of 30% I'd have thought, just to make it worthwhile. Sounds like you got a decent price.

Fair enough

Well it's gone now

Don't think you'll find much better s4 cab tip for that money on that mileage

I've sold a b6 a4 3.0 quattro with only 27k on the clock, 1 owner from new and full service history for 5k, when you consider that it was 2 times less mileage, really good condition inside and out and fully serviced with a new cambelt fitted as well then you will know what i mean... 6+k for a similar car with a even larger engine, over double the mileage and potential big money bills looming round the corner it defies belief... As i said, good it went in the end...

Brilliant car it was as I said

But £8k less vat is £6.67k not £6k

As for the 3.0 version, it doesn't have the "s" icon so not really comparable

Yeh.My bad. Maths and typing. I meant to type £6.6k. Either way, you've got the funds you needed for the family diesel wagon, and managed to shift the car after a bit longer than you wanted, albeit for less than you think it's was worth. Buyers market though, for something as specialised as that I've have thought.
