Wel my cars in Grimsby, dealer hoping to have it by the end of the week (aberdeen) so hopefully pick it up a week on Saturday! That's a bw 45 car also pritty quick it thot?

E-mailed my dealer for an update - seems my Wk47 car is indeed being built in Wk 47 - which means sometime this week then!

I imagine that somewhere in an Alpine field, a cow is roaming around, unaware that it is going to be covering my seats by Friday...

Hopefully it will turn up mid-December then. Would be good, have been waiting a while now.

I've now got my VIN number so have put it into the myAudi app, all looks ok I think

Just waiting to hear if they can offer me an incentive (free service) to pick it up this month.

Just put the VIN into myAudi and the description of the car is Audi A3 Sportback Ambition Sport TDI 184 PS 6 Speed. No mention of S-line even though the picture shows an S-Line. Should I be concerned or is this normal?

I think that back in the fatherland - Audi use odd terms like Attraction, Ambition and Ambiente as their trim levels.

The UK importer have decided this was a bit silly, and so renames them things like SE, Sport, S-Line etc.

The German web site makes reference to a top line model called "Ambition inklusive S line Sportpaket" - which looks to me like an S-Line - so I assume the configurator still refers to the native German trim level for some reason.

I don't have a VIN yet so can't check my own - wonder if anyone else has found this...?

This is normal. Mine is also an Ambition on MyAudi which I assume is the nearest thing to what is marketed in the UK as S line.

Well i've been playing with the MyAudi website now that I have been given my new VIN. I'm BW 45 so hopefully the car will be on its way to Coventry Audi.

I don't feel they understand the needs of an expectant Dad, as i've really had to dig for any such info, with repeat emails etc being sent. I am hoping to experience a dealership collection for the first time which will hopefully be a week tomorrow. I've also got the ball rolling to have my CP put on retention, to reduce the waiting for hand over etc. Not sure why this method seem quicker than the other transfer way?

I tried to log the VIN into the cargo ID of the shipping site @glospete had mentioned with no joy, would've been nice to watch its progress.

Yeh unfortunately we can't track anything without going through ur dealer or customer services! It's a bit of a pain in the *** but Owel! I have also sufferd from lack of feedback from my dealer and had to chase them up! Av had my plate off my old car for a while waiting for the new 1! Got a fone call today saying my car was at dealer, was told I could pick it up Monday night but wanted to get it during the day so a week on Saturday it is! Next week will be a slow week, aaaaaahhhhhhh

What build week were you? Because of my current lease I can't take the 8V until 23rd Nov, so really hoping I get a call before next friday.

On another note I do feel somewhat lesser endowed with all the S3's arriving.

Our S3's will probably be on the same shipment to the Uk I imagine

2-3 weeks to the Dealer I reckon, unless there is a back log or the ship is slow to fill from Emden
