buzzing noise....help needed please

just been doing some work on my car fitting a forge tip.

started the car, turned it off and the little electic component fixed right infront of the fan is buzzing, is this normal? ive heard it a few times but never stayed on after ignition off and car locked??

i think its the aux water pump...

have i pic ive found on the web of what it is.....

Yes its a water after run pump to help cool things down. |It should stay on for a while after the engine is hot but wont stay on long if you only started the car and then turned it off

Ive just changed mine for a trusty omega one, works spot on now...

yeah car wasn hot. hadnt been started all day and then was only on for like 30 seconds. just worried it shouldnt of been on. but guess i cant complain if it is working.

just i finished work the other week and come back to a flat battery. checked everything and it was all off. so either fan or something stayed on until battery was completely drained.

thought it may of been this.
